The district administration in Yadgir released the draft electoral rolls after completing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Rahul Pandve announced the figures at a press meet on Monday.
Out of a total of 10,53,236 registered electors, 8,64,003 (82.03%) enumeration forms have been successfully digitized. The remaining 1,89,233 names were classified under Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate, and Others (ASDDO) categories.
A detailed breakdown shows 1,16,937 electors permanently shifted, 29,026 recorded as deceased, 22,507 duplicate entries, 17,306 marked absent, and 3,457 forms could not be collected for other reasons.

The verification drive identified 12,264 electors as “no mapping” and 42,798 entries with anomalies, bringing the total “subject to verification” to 55,062 electors. Official notices will be served to these ASDDO individuals, requiring them to present citizenship and identity documents before Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs).
To handle claims, 67 AEROs supported by six data entry operators have been deployed across the district: Shorapur (21), Yadgir (17), Gurmitkal (15), and Shahapur (14). Applications are forwarded to Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) for final decisions, with the Deputy Commissioner acting as the First Appellate Authority and the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) as the Second Appellate Authority.
Post‑SIR, 28 new polling stations were added, increasing the district’s total polling stations from 1,134 to 1,162. Additional Deputy Commissioner Ramesh Kolar and Assistant Commissioner Sridhar Goture were present during the announcement.
