On September 16, Andhra Pradesh IT and Education Minister Nara Lokesh inaugurated the newly renovated Devireddy Sarada Government High School in Mulapet, Nellore, following a ₹13.40 crore CSR contribution from Hyderabad‑based real‑estate firm DSR Group.

The school, once in a dilapidated state, has been transformed into a modern learning hub with 24 classrooms, advanced laboratories, and state‑of‑the‑art sports facilities.

Municipal Administration and Urban Planning (MA&UD) Minister Ponguru Narayana previously upgraded VRC Government High School at Chinna Bazar to international standards. He also spearheaded the modernization of the girls’ high school in Mulapet with contemporary amenities.

Under this initiative, DSR Group Managing Director Devireddy Sudhakar Reddy donated ₹13.40 crore to rebuild the school, which was renamed Devireddy Sarada Government High School.

The campus features 24 classrooms across two floors, covering roughly 24,000 square feet. It includes 15 LED screens, 300 benches, and specialized labs for computers, robotics, astronomy, physics, chemistry, and biology.

Additional facilities include art, music, and language rooms, a modern library, upgraded toilets, and courts for basketball, pickleball, volleyball, kabaddi, and kho‑kho.

“We are committed to upgrading government schools to international standards,” Minister Narayana said. “Our goal is to modernize 15 schools and provide quality education to 15,000 underprivileged students.”
