Indian sovereign cloud provider NxtGen has launched 'SpeedCloud Global' to take its AI-ready infrastructure to international markets, challenging global hyperscalers on price and performance.
- NxtGen launches SpeedCloud Global for international markets.
- Claims 39-48% lower costs compared to leading hyperscalers.
- Strategic partnership with Dell and Nvidia for Blackwell GPU deployment.
In a strategic move to capitalize on the exploding demand for artificial intelligence (AI) compute, NxtGen, India's leading sovereign cloud and AI infrastructure provider, has officially launched SpeedCloud Global. This expansion marks a significant shift as the company takes its managed cloud and AI services to the international stage, entering a high-stakes race against global tech giants.
The company has positioned SpeedCloud Global as a cost-effective alternative to established hyperscalers, claiming that general cloud workloads can be managed at 39-48% lower costs. Furthermore, NxtGen emphasizes agility, stating that deployments can be executed in as little as 48 hours, providing a competitive edge for enterprises seeking rapid scaling.
BozokMedia analysis shows that NxtGen's global foray signals the maturation of the Indian tech ecosystem. India is transitioning from being a destination for software outsourcing to becoming a provider of critical hardware and cloud infrastructure. By competing on performance and cost, NxtGen is attempting to break the oligopoly of US-based cloud giants in the AI compute space.
With a domestic portfolio of over 1,000 customers and 200 government departments, NxtGen has already built a formidable foundation. To support its AI ambitions, the company recently partnered with Dell Technologies and Nvidia to establish a dedicated AI facility housing more than 4,000 Nvidia Blackwell GPUs, some of the most advanced chips available today.
"India is no longer only the back office of global technology; it is now building world-class cloud infrastructure and competing on performance and cost, on its own terms," stated A S Rajgopal, MD and CEO of NxtGen.
This expansion aligns with India's broader national strategy. The IndiaAI compute programme is already providing shared access to 38,000 GPUs via government subsidies. Simultaneously, the country is attracting massive foreign direct investment, with Microsoft opening its largest India data center region in Hyderabad, and Amazon and Google committing billions to AI infrastructure.
