Water Resources Minister N. Anand has directed Karur officials to expedite drinking water schemes and enhance the protection of local waterbodies during a high-level review meeting.

In a decisive move to address potential water shortages, the Minister for Water Resources and Rural Development, N. Anand, has called for a heightened focus on the uninterrupted supply of drinking water in the Karur district. During a comprehensive review meeting held on Thursday, the Minister emphasized that ensuring access to clean water must remain the administration's top priority.

Infrastructure Upgradation and Monitoring

Minister Anand stressed the urgency of accelerating ongoing schemes aimed at providing or upgrading drinking water infrastructure. He instructed officials to maintain rigorous monitoring of the supply chain to prevent any scarcity. Furthermore, he called for enhanced vigilance regarding waterbodies, urging authorities to implement strict measures for preserving water storage capacities to combat seasonal fluctuations.

Commitment to Transparency and Governance

A key highlight of the meeting was the Minister's insistence on transparency in the implementation of all developmental projects. He warned that there should be no room for corruption or delays, mandating that all schemes be completed in a time-bound manner. Aligning with the vision of Chief Minister C.
