A horrific tragedy struck the Mirzapur district of Uttar Pradesh in the early hours of Wednesday, when a cement-laden truck veered off the road and smashed into a residential house. The accident, reported around 3:00 AM, occurred after the truck suffered a tyre burst while travelling from Varanasi to Sonbhadra. The impact was so severe that the vehicle breached the walls of the house, crushing the occupants who were deep in sleep. Local authorities were alerted immediately, and a frantic rescue operation was launched to pull survivors from the debris.

Victims Identified and Rescue Operations

The crash resulted in the immediate death of three family members, identified as 47-year-old Rajaram, 70-year-old Sukhiya, and 45-year-old Chandtara. The force of the collision left the structure severely compromised, requiring heavy machinery to clear the site. Two other individuals, including a 12-year-old girl, sustained critical injuries and were rushed to the Varanasi Trauma Centre for emergency treatment.
