Pakistan's Army Chief Asim Munir has once again made a statement against India over Kashmir. He has called Kashmir Pakistan's 'jugular vein'. This statement comes in the midst of growing protests in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir.

The statement was made during the 276th Corps Commanders Conference held in GHQ Rawalpindi, where Asim Munir chaired the meeting. Pakistan's army has accused India of human rights violations and demographic changes in Jammu and Kashmir. According to a statement by the Pakistan Army's media wing, the Kashmir issue has become a matter of grave concern for Pakistan.

The Joint Action Committee (JAC) in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir has given a deadline of July 8 to the Pakistani and PoK governments. If their demands are not met by then, the committee will announce its next course of action from the protest site.

During the conference, the Pakistan Army reviewed the security situation and military preparedness. The ISPR claimed that Indian-backed terrorist groups are operating from Afghanistan's Taliban-controlled areas and carrying out attacks in Pakistan.

The army reiterated its stance on Operation Ghabau'l-Hak and accused India of hybrid warfare and spreading false information. It also reiterated its stance on the Indus Water Treaty.

Critics say that the statement is an attempt to divert attention from the growing protests in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, which are demanding the implementation of the Muzaffarabad Agreement.
