Priyanka Gandhi Vadra expressed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the incident. She said that Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan is personally monitoring the relief operations. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also said that the police and the National Disaster Response Force are at the site, while State Disaster Response Force teams and civil defense volunteers have also reached the area. She added that the district administration, Ministers T. Siddique and A.P. Anil Kumar, who are on their way from Thiruvananthapuram, local party functionaries, and the agencies concerned are coordinating with her. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra emphasized the need for ensuring that relief and rescue efforts are not hampered and all possible help is provided without causing any distractions.
