The 'Bintang Adipurna of the Republic of Indonesia' is the highest honour in the Republic of Indonesia, instituted in 1959. It is given to individuals who have rendered exceptional service to the unity, continuity, and prosperity of the Republic of Indonesia. The honour is a symbol of the strong relationship between India and Indonesia, and Modi's role in strengthening ties between the two countries.
