According to the complaint, Veerasamy demanded a sum of ₹1.3 lakh to facilitate contractual work and allegedly used intimidation tactics to secure the illegal payment. A specialized police unit, led by Inspector Praveen Rajesh, conducted a swift investigation and apprehended the official on Wednesday.
