According to recent reports, Samson has not submitted his name for the KCL auction scheduled to take place on July 11 in Thiruvananthapuram. Since the Indian Test team will be touring Sri Lanka during the KCL window (August 20 to September 5), experts anticipated that Samson would use the domestic league to maintain his match fitness and form. Despite the absence of the marquee star, the KCL auction remains highly anticipated. A total of 156 players are set to be auctioned, categorized into three distinct pools. Pool-A features 32 seasoned veterans including Sachin Baby and Vishnu Vinod, with a base price of ₹3 lakh. Pool-B consists of 37 rising stars from the U-19 and U-23 circuits, while Pool-C contains 87 emerging talents from zonal and district levels. Each of the six participating franchises holds an auction purse of ₹50 lakh to build their squads.
