The police said Duraipandi, 26, a native of Madurai, employed as a human resource manager at a private company in the Vallam SIPCOT industrial estate, and his colleague Yuvaraj, 23, from Panruti, were traveling towards Vallam on a motorcycle on the service lane of the Chengalpattu-Sriperumbudur Highway in Oragadam.
As they approached the Oragadam junction near Mathur, a high-end two-wheeler driven by Monish, with his friend Dharshan in the pillion, rammed into their bike.
In the head-on collision, all four sustained severe injuries. Local residents sent the four injured persons to Sriperumbudur Government Hospital, where Duraipandi and Yuvaraj succumbed to their injuries.
