Hyderabad, July 9, 2026 – A landmark initiative aimed at shaping the next generation of women leaders was officially launched today at the Government Degree College for Women (Autonomous), Begumpet. The event introduced Project Vidya 3.0 and the Emerging Women Leaders Programme (EWLP), both designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real‑world leadership demands.

Purpose and Design of the Programme

EWLP is a one‑year structured leadership development track that focuses on ethics, social responsibility, entrepreneurship and professional etiquette. Implemented by The Good Talk Factory Foundation (TGTF) in partnership with Unislink as its CSR ally, the programme seeks to transform academic excellence into workplace readiness through experiential learning. A cohort of 55 final‑year students will undergo 15 intensive sessions covering leadership, communication, organizational skills, and ethical decision‑making.

Key Stakeholders and Endorsements

Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan opened the ceremony, stressing that initiatives like Project Vidya 3.0 are essential for nurturing confident decision‑makers who can contribute meaningfully to society. The launch was also attended by Zelalem Birhanu Taffesse, Chief of the UNICEF India Field Office, who underscored the long‑term socioeconomic benefits of investing in girls’ education and leadership development. College Principal K. Padmavathi affirmed the institution’s commitment to a holistic education that blends academic rigor with character building.

Selection, Training and Expected Outcomes

Students were selected based on academic merit and demonstrated community involvement. The training curriculum blends case studies, role‑plays, entrepreneurship workshops and community‑service projects, ensuring participants are ready to tackle real‑world challenges. Project Vidya 3.0 aspires not only to make graduates job‑ready but also to cultivate future policymakers, social entrepreneurs, and public‑sector leaders.

While several state‑level schemes aim to increase women’s participation in the workforce, focused leadership development remains scarce. Project Vidya 3.0 could set a replicable model for other Indian states, accelerating gender parity and inclusive growth.
