"Community Health Centres (CHCs), Area Hospitals (AHs), and District Hospitals (DHs) should be strengthened and developed into full-fledged medical centres capable of performing major surgeries and providing a wider range of services locally," he stated. He further added that District and Area Hospitals possess the potential to provide medical services to people on par with teaching hospitals. He also noted that 607 Assistant Professor posts are being filled in teaching hospitals, while 1,616 specialist doctors have been recruited for District Hospitals, Area Hospitals, and CHCs.

The Minister directed District Coordinators of Health Services (DCHSs) to ensure the optimal utilization of doctors, staff, beds, equipment, and diagnostic facilities available in each hospital. During these inspections, officials are tasked with verifying doctor and staff attendance, the timeliness of patient treatment, the functionality of equipment, and the availability of medicines, diagnostic tests, and scans.
