A house was severely damaged in Shivamogga due to incessant rain. The family, comprising of a daily wage worker, his wife, and their three children, were staying in the house. They sensed the wall collapsing and escaped unhurt. Shivamogga MLA S.N. Channabasappa visited the family and directed officials to make temporary arrangements for their stay. He also assured the family of maximum compensation. The incident occurred on Monday night in the New Mandli locality.
