The policy targets to develop Uttar Pradesh as a major green and AI-ready data center hub, with a focus on regional balance. The government has decided to provide additional incentives to encourage investment in Bundelkhand and Purvanchal regions, which will create new opportunities for industries and boost local employment. The data center industry will not be limited to engineers alone, as its expansion will generate new job opportunities in IT, computer science, electrical, mechanical, civil engineering, network administration, cybersecurity, cloud computing, data management, technical assistance, security services, building maintenance, housekeeping, and logistics. Additionally, small and medium enterprises will also get new business opportunities in server installation, cabling, equipment supply, maintenance, and other services. The digital economy is growing rapidly, and data centers have become its most critical basic need. Therefore, Uttar Pradesh's new data center policy is not just a plan to attract investment, but a step to accelerate employment, digital industry, AI technology, and regional development. If the investment targets are met within the time frame, thousands of young people in the state will get new opportunities for technical employment and business in the coming years.
