Reflecting on the late leader's impact, PM Modi highlighted the profound bond shared between the two nations. In a post on 'X', the Prime Minister recalled Sheikh Hamad’s enduring affection for India and his consistent warmth toward the Indian community residing in Qatar. He emphasized that the former Amir's legacy would serve as a guiding light as India and Qatar continue to elevate their Strategic Partnership to new heights.

The Indian government has taken significant diplomatic steps to honor the late leader. Earlier this week, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju traveled to Qatar to represent the Government of India. Rijiju described Sheikh Hamad as a visionary statesman who nurtured the historic foundations of India-Qatar friendship, which has since transformed into a multi-dimensional strategic alliance.
