Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh – Local police confirmed that Anita Mishra, her lover Vinod Yadav, and his accomplice Satish Yadav plotted and executed the murder of Anita's husband, Sanjay Mishra, concealing his corpse under an unfinished bridge.
Background of the Incident
Sanjay Mishra, a resident of Panna district, vanished on July 1 after traveling to attend a relative’s wedding. When his family could not locate him, they filed a missing‑person report, prompting police to launch a search in nearby forested areas.
Discovery of the Body
Investigators recovered Mishra’s body in a forest close to a bridge under construction, with his motorcycle abandoned a short distance away. A post‑mortem confirmed homicide, and a murder FIR was lodged.
Technical Evidence and Interrogation
A special investigation team analyzed call‑detail records (CDR) and found that Anita and Vinod exchanged over 200 calls the day after the disappearance. This digital trail positioned Anita as a prime suspect. During questioning, Anita admitted to an affair with Vinod and claimed Sanjay was an obstacle to their relationship.
Execution of the Murder
According to police, Anita lured Sanjay to a wedding at her maternal uncle’s house. En route, the three accused ambushed and killed him in the forest, subsequently dumping the body beneath the under‑construction bridge to mask the crime as a missing‑person case.
